The Harp

The Harp

That day there was music coming from the woods. I heard it from my bedroom window. I decided to go see who is playing this mysterious music, so I called my dog Leo, put on his leash and started running out the back door, heading the direction of the woods.

As I walked further through the woods, I could hear the music getting louder and louder. I also start felling butterflies in my stomach,  because I have never been alone in the woods before. What if I get lost! Mom says its dangerous and there might be bears and stuff… I am feeling very lost now, but I still let the music guide me. Leo suddenly jerks the leash forwards, which makes me let go, and he goes running off, but strangely towards the music.

“Leo” I called sacredly, while I was running after him. I could fell tears trickling down my cheek, because I knew he would run away and never come back, I just knew it.

But luckily I finally caught up to him after about 3 minutes, and clicked his leash back on. He looked up at me tiredly, and he looked like he just ran a marathon!

“It wasn’t that long of a run” I told him. “We not are doing anymore running anyway because we are going home!” The music was super loud now, almost like it was  saw a beautiful river but  that wasn’t the interesting part, the interesting part was that I took a closer look, and on the other side of the river there was a harp, but not just  an ordinary harp, it was a shiny golden harp, playing by itself!

I was so confused and scared that I froze in my spot not able to move, but Leo was jumping around in excitement, almost like he has seen this harp before, and was greeting an old friend.
